Collaboration with Government Schools & Child Welfare Committee
Department of Education, Karnataka
Need Base India (NBI) operates its unique residential care homes within government school premises, under the aegis of Department of Education, Karnataka and the collaboration of the respective school. Starting with just one residential home, we have successfully expanded to nine homes.
Department of Women and Child Development, Karnataka
As a child care and protection organization, NBI adheres to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. Our team actively participates in bi-weekly meetings with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and are subject to all compliances as per the provisions. The children are either referred to NBI’s residential care or approved admission through the CWC. No child is admitted without the necessary approval of CWC.
Department of Police, Karnataka
NBI maintains a strong working relationship with the Karnataka Police Department, who have been invaluable partners in our mission. Their support includes organizing awareness programs, helping us trace children who have dropped out of residential homes, rescuing children in distressing situations, and actively participating in various celebrations, such as Independence Day and Republic Day, Road safety programs and campaigns.
